Shakuhachi
Ikari Sōzan (Ikari Kanichi) was born October 10, 1920. A graduate of the Army Aviation Academy, he studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Hatase Shōzan (a student of Takei Banzan), and attained the rank of Dai-Shihan and the title Chikurin-ken. He was Chief of the Saga Prefecture Branch of the Tozan-ryū, and was a Shihan Examination Committee member once, and a Jun-Shihan Examination Committee member twice. He passed away November, 1997.
